Israel Is Officially in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program Effective Immediately

Following Israel's inclusion in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced earlier today that, with immediate effect, eligible Israeli citizens can now enjoy visa-free short-term travel to the United States. This will be achieved by seeking authorization through the U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s (CBP) Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

As a result, Israeli citizens can now visit the United States for up to 90 days without requiring a visa, streamlining the previously lengthy and costly visa application process, a step which further strengthens the security, economic and people-to-people ties between the United States and Israel.
